Patterns for inspiration

I'm on a hunt for things to inspire me to generate ideas for some art work for our baby's room. I can't wait to start painting. I will once I quite my job. There are lots of fun nursery art out there. some indicated eductions. Letters, colours, animals etc.

Started feeling movement!

25th February!

It was really exciting the first time coz I've been waiting to start feeling the movement. I finally am sure it is not gass or indigestion and its our little buddy moving around. :)

We watched 127 hours!

Last night after work we watched 127 hours. It was really...... hmm beautiful cinematography, well its got to be 'Danny Boyle after all. James Franco did a pretty amazing job as well. I just could not see the end when he cuts his arm off. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

WHY O WHY?

Nevertheless there has been some wailing and gnashing of teeth. Interestingly, while many got tearful for the peacock, few seemed to be weeping for the loss of Universal’s globe. Above is a rather fun response by ‘Ben the illustrator’ – see the whole mini saga here. What can we conclude from this? I think the answer is pretty obvious: that we can invest in animals, birds etc. emotions that globes, typefaces and suchlike do not have the power to induce. Anthropomorphic logos are very powerful symbols, because they reflect values we see in ourselves. If you want to drive an emotional connection, go take something from nature.
